Funny Tech - Inspirational Programming Quotes

Funny Tech - Inspirational Programming Quotes
(http://www.marcofolio.net/tips/27_inspiring_top_notch_programming_quotes.html)

This is a collection of funny, sarcastic, and even meaningful/useful quotes that programmers of all kinds might be able to appreciate.

However, I wouldn't recommend it for those that don't program. I doubt many of them would make sense... no offense....

My favorite quote on the page:
" Always code as if the guy who ends up maintaining your code will be a violent psychopath who knows where you live.” - Rick Osborne

Check it out, it's worth a glance.

Cool Techy - Storing Data in Bacteria???

I don't know if this is brilliant or slightly sketchy, but Japanese scientists are working on a way to store data in the genetics of bacteria. I literally Stubleupon'd this today.

Read more at this MSNBC article.

It's a bit old, but interesting nonetheless.

Tech of the day - ThinkGeek.com

ThinkGeek.com is, believe it or not, a site geared towards the tech-savy. There's a lot of cool stuff from office toys to clever t-shirts.

My favorite part is the Gadgets section. There are techy things in there that make me say "That's.... brilliant," and others that make me wonder how someone wasted x-amount of time to do it.

Techy item of the day: USB hidden flash drive watch
(http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/a8bc/)

For some reason, I really like spy-ish things with cool features. The watch looks fantastic. The functionality of the USB plug may be questionable, but who could complain? I'm sure you've found yourself saying, "This is an awesome high-class party. I really wish I could steal [this] off their computer though. Too bad I don't have a watch with a hidden USB plug...."

Online tech - www.ning.com

Have you ever heard of www.ning.com?

If you're a social networker, and/or have a brilliant idea for a social network, check out ning.com! There are a LOT of social networks start by... well, anyone! I'm involved with the Geeks! social network.

It's pretty cool! Lots of forums about interesting things, videos, audio, notes, friend system, everything that makes a good network.

Perhaps the best part of ning.com is the ability for anyone to start a network. I've thought hard about different networks to create, but none of them have really sparked enough interest in my mind to get them going. Someday though, someday....

If you've got an idea now, get on it fast!

I recommend www.ning.com to anyone who enjoys online interaction and online friends. Awesome site.

Tech site of the day: CraziestGadgets.com

Cool techy site of the day: CraziestGadgets.com

Weird stuff, cool stuff, awesome stuff, questionable stuff. What else could you ask for?

I would recommend this site to anyone looking to read some kind of, well, interesting tech things! From laptop gadgets to mattress features (today's headline), there's something interesting for everyone.

Here's my favorite post:
Flexible Green Man USB Drive
(http://craziestgadgets.com/2009/02/17/flexible-green-man-usb-drive/)

It's cute. And useful. What else might I want? maybe a bit more memory, but that's just a technicality... ha... punned.

Site Rating -
Design: 6/10 - It's a little boring, but gets the job done.
Content: 9/10 - Very cool, very interesting, not useful. Or is it? It's updated several times a day!
Total rating: 7/10 - I like it enough to go see it a few times =)
